Tell me as much as you can. Most people write a few paragraphs. There's no wrong answer and I read every word.
Things worth telling me, as applicable
- What it does, and who it's for.
- What's worrying you, or where you feel stuck.
- What it's built on. "No idea" or "haven't started" are normal answers.
- What it's cost you so far, money and time.
- How many people use it now, and how many you want.
- Anything a developer said that you didn't follow or want to validate.
- I'll reply on the thread within two working days. No charges, no strings attached. Just my honest professional feedback.
- I do these manually, so I do a limited number each week.
Most tech help looks at the code. I start with your business.
A developer's job is to build or fix what you ask for, and plenty do it well. But nobody stops to ask whether it's the right thing for your business, what it will cost you later, or whether you need it at all.
That's what I do. Whether you've got an idea, a quote, a bill that keeps going up, or an app that's giving you trouble, I look at the whole picture first. Who pays you. What they need. What you can afford right now. Then I tell you what I'd do, what I'd leave alone, and what can wait.
