BeProfit vs TrueProfit vs Lifetimely: which Shopify profit app should you use?

By Ranjit Bhinge, founder of Blur Studio · Updated · 5 min read

Short answer: BeProfit, TrueProfit and Lifetimely are three apps that sit on top of a Shopify store (Shopify is an online store platform) and show profit after costs, not just sales. TrueProfit is the cheapest at small order counts and tracks Shopify and TikTok Shop sales. BeProfit adds Amazon and WooCommerce data on its homepage and has the most shipping and pricing tools. Lifetimely, made by a company called Amp, leans toward customer lifetime value and charges extra to add Amazon data. If you sell only on Shopify, pick on price and the features you will open every week. If a big share of sales is on Amazon, wholesale or Etsy, read the gaps section before you pay.

You want to know which of the three big Shopify profit apps shows your real margin for the least money, and what each one leaves out.

I'm Ranjit, and I run Blur Studio: 15+ years building software, 120 apps taken live, and clients who have gone on to raise $10M+. I build AI systems and processes that help businesses do a lot more with a lot less time. I also work differently from most of what else is out there, more on that further down this page. Say hello.

What do these three apps do?

All three connect to your Shopify store and subtract your costs from each order: product cost, shipping, payment fees, ad spend and refunds. The goal is one number you can trust: what you kept. Shopify's own reports show sales well, but they do not know what your ads or your suppliers cost you unless you feed them in.

BeProfit is a profit analytics app for stores that sell on more than one channel. Its homepage says it shows Shopify, Amazon and WooCommerce (a store plugin for WordPress) data in one dashboard. TrueProfit is a net profit app built for Shopify brands, with a 14-day free trial. Lifetimely is a profit and customer value app from a company called Amp. It is known for lifetime value (LTV, the total a customer spends with you over time) and customer acquisition cost (CAC, what it costs to win one customer).

How do the prices compare?

As of November 2026, all three price by monthly order count, so the same store costs different amounts on each. Prices are in USD and come from each vendor's own pricing page.

AppFree tierPaid plans (monthly)
BeProfitUp to 150 orders, one store$49 (450 orders), $99 (900), $149 (1,700), $249 (listed as Plus)
TrueProfitNone, 14-day trial$35 (300 orders), $60 (600), $100 (1,500), $200 (3,500)
LifetimelyUp to 50 orders$49 (500 orders), $149 (3,000), $299 (7,000), $499 (15,000), $749 (25,000), $999 above that

Two details matter. First, overage: BeProfit charges $0.30 for each order over your limit on monthly plans, up to $500 extra per billing cycle. TrueProfit charges $0.30 on its first plan, $0.20 on the second, $0.10 on the third and $0.07 on the fourth, with a cap on each. Lifetimely moves you up a tier instead. Second, BeProfit's pricing page labels its tiers two ways (Pro, Ultimate and Plus in one place, Scale and Enterprise in another), so check the plan name on the screen where you pay.

A worked example at three order counts

These are made-up store sizes, priced from the numbers above.

Orders a monthBeProfitTrueProfitLifetimely
400$49$60 plan, or $35 plus 100 extra orders at $0.30 = $65$49
800$99$60 plus 200 extra at $0.20 = $100, or $100 plan$149
2,000$249$200$149

My rule: before you pay overage, check whether the next plan up costs less. At 400 orders, TrueProfit's $60 plan beats its own $35 plan plus extras. At 2,000 orders Lifetimely's flat tier is the cheapest of the three, but you pay for the AI agent and customer tools whether you open them or not.

How do the features compare?

  • BeProfit: profit on ad spend (POAS, which is profit divided by ad spend, a stricter number than ROAS), net shipping (what you charged versus what the carrier cost), order-level profit, profit and pricing simulators, days of stock left, and profit by country. It also offers read-only access from Claude or ChatGPT through MCP (a standard way to let an AI assistant read your data).
  • TrueProfit: real-time profit dashboard, product analytics, a P&L report (profit and loss statement), expense tracking, customer lifetime value cohorts and marketing attribution from the $100 plan. The P&L report starts on the $60 plan. It syncs shipping costs from tools such as ShipStation (shipping software), Shippo (a shipping label tool), ShipBob and ShipHero (warehouse and fulfillment services), and has a free mobile app.
  • Lifetimely: daily P&L, predictive LTV, CAC and payback, attribution, sales forecasts and a Profit Agent, an AI helper that flags what needs attention and acts on your approval. Every paid plan gets every feature, and it connects to Klaviyo (an email marketing tool) and Recharge (a subscription billing app).

Which one handles Amazon and other channels?

This is where they split. TrueProfit's sales channels are Shopify and TikTok Shop. It does connect to Amazon Ads, but only to pull in ad spend, so Amazon sales and Amazon fees are not part of its profit picture. BeProfit's homepage lists Shopify, Amazon and WooCommerce in one view. Lifetimely sells Amazon data as an add-on at $75 a month on top of any paid plan.

Between them, the vendors name Shopify, Amazon, WooCommerce and TikTok Shop as sales sources, and Etsy, eBay and wholesale invoices are not on those lists. If part of your business runs there, ask each vendor before you pay whether those orders and fees can be read. For the Amazon side on its own, see my guide to an Amazon seller profit calculator.

Where all three fall short

  • Cost data is only as good as what you enter. If your product costs are guesses, the profit number is a guess with a nice chart.
  • One store, one view. BeProfit supports more than one store only on its Enterprise plan. TrueProfit needs a separate plan for each store.
  • Your rules are not their rules. Landed cost, bundle costs, wholesale tiers and returns that you restock can be hard to model in a fixed tool.
  • Per-order pricing grows with you. The better your year, the more you pay.

If you only need a few numbers on a screen, a simple KPI dashboard of your own can do the job. I also cover the limits of Shopify's built-in numbers in Shopify reporting limits, and a do-it-yourself version in build your own profit dashboard.

Which should you pick?

  • Pick TrueProfit if: you sell mostly on Shopify, have under about 1,500 orders a month and want the lowest monthly cost.
  • Pick BeProfit if: you sell on Shopify and Amazon, or you care about shipping cost recovery, price simulators and stock days left.
  • Pick Lifetimely if: repeat buying is your business, you want LTV and CAC front and centre, and you are above about 2,000 orders where its flat tiers get cheaper.

Need something completely custom?

Everything above is a path to get it running quick and cheap. But sometimes none of these fit, and what you need is something custom that you own, built uniquely for your business from the ground up, with AI thoughtfully designed into the parts of it that your processes actually benefit from. An asset that grows in value, not a generic, one-size-fits-all boilerplate that's an expense with a lock-in. This is a complete bespoke build, and it's something I do very well. How I'd approach this

I would start with the free tier of whichever app matches your channels, and check one product by hand against it. Pick a product, work out its profit in a spreadsheet using my profit per product guide, and see if the app lands within a dollar or two. If it does not, find out why before you trust anything else it says. If you outgrow the apps because you sell on four channels, buy wholesale, or want one report that your accountant also trusts, that is when a custom profit view is worth a conversation.

Questions people ask

Is BeProfit free?

As of November 2026, BeProfit lists a free plan for up to 150 orders a month on one store, with no credit card needed. Paid plans start at $49 a month for 450 orders. Check its pricing page for current tiers.

How much does TrueProfit cost?

As of November 2026, TrueProfit costs $35 a month for 300 orders, $60 for 600, $100 for 1,500 and $200 for 3,500, with a 14-day free trial. It does not offer a yearly plan, and each store needs its own plan.

Does Lifetimely work with Amazon?

Yes, as an add-on. Lifetimely lists an Amazon add-on at $75 a month on top of any paid plan, which adds Amazon sales data and reports. Lifetimely's free plan covers up to 50 orders a month.

Does TrueProfit track Amazon sales?

No. TrueProfit lists Shopify and TikTok Shop as its sales channels. It connects to Amazon Ads to import ad spend, but Amazon orders and fees are not part of its profit numbers.

Do I still need a spreadsheet if I use a profit app?

For a few products, yes, as a check. Work one product out by hand with my profit per product guide and compare it to the app. If they match, trust the app for the rest.
