Ecomdash or Sellbrite: which is better for a small multi-channel brand?

By Ranjit Bhinge, founder of Blur Studio · Updated · 5 min read

Short answer: Both Ecomdash and Sellbrite are budget tools that list products on marketplaces like Amazon and eBay and keep one stock count across them. Sellbrite publishes clear prices as of November 2026: free up to 30 orders a month, then $29, $79 and $179 a month on annual billing. Ecomdash's own site now says it is becoming part of Network Solutions and shows no price list, so ask for a current quote before you compare. Pick Sellbrite if you want clear pricing and fast sync today.

You are choosing between two low-cost multichannel tools and want to know which one fits a small brand and where each one stops being enough.

I'm Ranjit, and I run Blur Studio: 15+ years building software, 120 apps taken live, and clients who have gone on to raise $10M+. I build AI systems and processes that help businesses do a lot more with a lot less time. I also work differently from most of what else is out there, more on that further down this page. Say hello.

What are Ecomdash and Sellbrite?

Ecomdash is a multichannel inventory tool for online sellers, meaning it is meant to keep one stock count across the places you sell. Its website does not currently describe features, so check what it covers before you rely on it. Sellbrite is a similar tool: it lists products on marketplaces from one screen, syncs stock and prices, imports orders and prints shipping labels. Both are budget tools, not full warehouse systems.

The first thing to know is that the two are not in the same place today. Ecomdash's website now shows a notice that it is becoming Network Solutions, a web services company, and says no action is needed and service continues as normal. Its page on the Shopify App Store says the app is not currently available there. That does not mean it stopped working for existing users. It does mean you should ask direct questions before you sign up.

Do not rely on third-party price lists for Ecomdash, because they may be out of date. Get a quote in writing from the vendor, and ask what happens to your plan price as orders grow.

Channels and sync speed

Sellbrite's listings publisher covers Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Google, Etsy, Shopify, BigCommerce and WooCommerce. Paid plans sync stock and prices and import orders every 15 minutes. The free plan does both every 2 hours. That gap matters: on a fast-selling item, two hours is long enough to sell the same last unit twice.

For Ecomdash, ask for the exact list of channels you use and the sync interval in writing. Do the same for any channel that is not a big marketplace, such as a regional one. A tool with 30 channels on a brochure may not connect the one you need.

Supplier feeds and dropshipping

If you sell products you do not stock, a supplier feed is a file or connection from your supplier that updates stock and prices for you. If feeds matter to you, ask both vendors how each of your suppliers connects and who fixes a broken feed. Sellbrite's plan feature list on its pricing page does not mention supplier feeds, so confirm with Sellbrite before you assume it handles them.

A worked example (made-up figures)

Say I run a small pet-supply brand. I sell on my own Shopify store, Amazon and eBay, and ship 450 orders a month, 150 of them through Amazon FBA. FBA, short for Fulfillment by Amazon, means Amazon stores and ships those units. On Sellbrite, FBA orders do not count toward the order limit, so I would fit under Pro 500 at $79 a month, plus $19 to bring FBA stock in, which is $98 a month. With the Shopify-only version, Pro 500 would be $59. The same order count on Ecomdash is something I would need a quote for, and I would ask whether FBA orders count, whether users cost extra and what the next tier costs.

Where a small brand outgrows both

  • Order volume rises past 2,000 a month. Sellbrite points you to high-volume plans at that point.
  • You need warehouses, purchase orders or kits. That is inventory system territory. My inventory management system guide covers those tools.
  • You want profit per SKU. Neither tool is built to show profit after fees, ads and returns.
  • You sell on a marketplace the tools do not list. Sellbrite's channel list does not include Gulf marketplaces such as Noon (an online marketplace used across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt).

Cheaper and bigger alternatives

  • Shopify Marketplace Connect, a Shopify app that lists on Amazon, Walmart, eBay and Target Plus, is free for your first 50 synced orders a month, then a 1% fee per extra synced order, capped at $99 a month. Reviews on the Shopify App Store are mixed, so read the latest.
  • Linnworks, order and stock software with 100+ channel integrations, is quote only and priced on order volume.
  • Cin7 Core, an inventory and order management system, starts at $349 a month for 5 users as of November 2026.

Ecomdash or Sellbrite: which should you pick?

  • Pick Sellbrite if: you want published prices, 15-minute sync, a free tier to test with, and your main channels are Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Etsy or Shopify.
  • Pick Ecomdash if: you get a written quote, channel list and sync interval that fit, including any supplier feeds you need. Confirm its current status first.

Need something completely custom?

Everything above is a path to get it running quick and cheap. But sometimes none of these fit, and what you need is something custom that you own, built uniquely for your business from the ground up, with AI thoughtfully designed into the parts of it that your processes actually benefit from. An asset that grows in value, not a generic, one-size-fits-all boilerplate that's an expense with a lock-in. This is a complete bespoke build, and it's something I do very well. How I'd approach this

I would start Sellbrite's free plan with five products, because it costs nothing and shows how clean my SKUs really are. I would ask Ecomdash the questions in this guide by email and compare the answers in writing. Then I would pick on three things: the channels I use today, the sync interval, and the price at double my current order count. A tool that is cheap today and expensive at twice the volume is not cheap.

Questions people ask

Is Sellbrite cheaper than Ecomdash?

Sellbrite's prices are published: free up to 30 orders a month, then $29, $79 and $179 a month on annual billing as of November 2026. Ecomdash does not show a price list on its site now, so ask it for a current quote and compare at your own order volume.

How fast does Sellbrite sync stock?

Paid plans sync stock and prices every 15 minutes and import orders every 15 minutes. The free plan does both every 2 hours.

What is happening to Ecomdash?

Its website says Ecomdash is becoming Network Solutions, that no action is needed and that service continues. Ask the vendor about pricing, support and any change to your plan before you sign up.

What are cheaper alternatives to Ecomdash and Sellbrite?

For Shopify stores, Shopify Marketplace Connect is free for your first 50 synced orders a month. Sellbrite also has a Shopify-only version from $19 a month. See the multichannel software comparison for more.

Do Amazon FBA orders count toward the Sellbrite limit?

No. Sellbrite excludes FBA orders from the order count on paid plans. Bringing FBA stock into Sellbrite is a $19 a month add-on.

When do I need an inventory system instead?

When you buy on purchase orders, hold stock in several warehouses or sell kits. The inventory management system guide explains what to look for.
