How much is Workiz and what is in each plan?

By Ranjit Bhinge, founder of Blur Studio · Updated · 5 min read

Short answer: Workiz, field service software with a built-in phone system for scheduling, quotes, invoices and payments, does not publish prices. As of November 2026 its Standard, Pro and Ultimate plans all say "Request pricing", so you only learn the cost after you talk to the company. Its page says annual billing saves $400 or more compared with monthly, and there is a 7-day free trial with no card needed. Ask for one written quote that includes every add-on and every user you need.

You want a real monthly number for Workiz, and what changes it, before you book a call.

I'm Ranjit, and I run Blur Studio: 15+ years building software, 120 apps taken live, and clients who have gone on to raise $10M+. I build AI systems and processes that help businesses do a lot more with a lot less time. I also work differently from most of what else is out there, more on that further down this page. Say hello.

How much does Workiz cost?

Workiz does not publish a dollar figure, so no number appears on its site. Its pricing page shows three plans, Standard, Pro and Ultimate, and each button says "Request pricing". The page does say that annual billing saves $400 or more over paying monthly, and that the trial lasts 7 days with no credit card.

Many owners dislike quote-only pricing. The upside is that the price can fit your crew. The downside is that you cannot compare it against a plan you can read on a web page. So treat the first call as a price-gathering job, and use the questions below.

What is in each Workiz plan?

All three plans list unlimited jobs, invoices, estimates and clients, a mobile app, a client portal, recurring jobs, built-in reports and a price book. The plans differ in the rest.

PlanAimed atWhat it adds
StandardGrowing teamsScheduling, invoices, jobs and estimates, 5 automations, online payments, service areas, custom fields, subcontractor management, QuickBooks integration
ProMid-size teamsEverything in Standard plus performance pay, 10 automations, Genius leads, Genius scheduling, custom reports, roles and permissions, multi-location management
UltimateMulti-location teams and franchisesEverything in Pro plus service plans, 30 automations, sales proposals, inventory management, flat rate pricing, checklists, multi-day jobs, franchise management, open API, equipment tracking, purchase orders

Automations are rules that run on their own, such as a text when a tech is on the way. A cap of 5 on Standard is tight if you want several. Ultimate allows 30.

What are the phone and AI add-ons?

This is where the bill can move. The comparison table lists three products as sold separately:

  • Genius Phone: the integrated phone system, with call insights, smart messaging, two-way texting, call flows and call masking.
  • Genius Answering: an AI answering service that picks up calls, texts and emails, books or reschedules jobs, and can transfer a call to your team. Workiz says it speaks English, Spanish and French.
  • Genius Marketing: email and text campaigns, an AI writer, review management.

The pricing page FAQ describes the built-in phone system as available on all plans, while the comparison table marks the Genius products as sold separately. That mixed message is a reason to ask exactly what is in your base price. If missed calls are why you are shopping, Genius Answering is the part to price first. My guide to AI answering services for contractors shows what to test.

What about user fees?

Workiz's public pages do not state a per-user fee, a user minimum or a price for extra users. Its FAQ says Workiz supports teams from 5 or more technicians up, with users, crews and roles you can add as you grow. So ask three things: is the price per user or per plan, how much does each extra tech or office user cost, and does an office login cost the same as a tech.

A quote worksheet with a made-up example

Ask for a written quote and fill in a sheet like this. The figures below are invented to show the method. They are not Workiz prices.

LineExample (made up)
Plan, 6 users$X a month
Genius Answering$Y a month
Genius Phone numbers and texts$Z a month
Card fees on paymentspercent of what you charge
Setup and trainingone-time, or free
Real monthly totalX + Y + Z, plus card fees

Do this for the plan you want today and the plan you will need in a year. Then divide by the number of jobs you book. That tells you what each job costs you in software.

How does it compare with published prices?

Jobber, a field service tool for quotes, scheduling and invoices, publishes its prices. As of November 2026, for one user billed annually, Core is $29 a month, Connect is $99 and Grow is $149 (list prices are $49, $139 and $199 on monthly billing). Jobber's AI Receptionist, which answers calls and texts, is a $29 a month add-on. Those numbers give you something to hold a Workiz quote against. For the head-to-head, read Workiz vs Jobber, and for the wider market, field service management software and Jobber vs Housecall Pro.

What else changes the bill?

Workiz Pay, its payment tool, covers online payments, estimate deposits, consumer financing and tap to pay. Card readers are sold separately. Payment tools usually take a fee on each card payment, so ask for the rate in writing, along with any monthly reader or terminal charge. Also ask about phone numbers and text messages: many phone systems charge for extra numbers and for text volume. Workiz lists 10DLC registration, the carrier sign-up that business texting needs, as free.

Then ask about contract terms. Is the annual plan billed up front or monthly? What is the notice to cancel? Can you move down a plan if your team shrinks? These answers matter as much as the headline price, because a cheap first year with a steep renewal is common in quote-only software.

When is a higher tier worth it?

  • Move to Pro if you need roles and permissions, custom reports or multi-location tools, or if 5 automations is not enough.
  • Move to Ultimate if you sell service plans, track inventory and equipment, raise purchase orders, run multi-day jobs or need the open API.
  • Stay on Standard if you are a small crew that needs jobs, estimates, invoices and payments.

How I'd approach this

Use the 7-day trial first, because it is free and needs no card. Test the phone and answering parts with real calls. Then ask for one written quote with the add-ons, the user count you have today and the count you expect in a year. Ask whether the annual discount locks you in, and what happens to the price at renewal.

If you do not want to negotiate a price, a tool with a published price may suit you better. And if you pay per user and your team keeps growing, the bill grows with it. That pattern is why some owners ask about software that is built once for their business instead.
