How much does Cin7 really cost once onboarding and add-ons are counted?
Short answer: Cin7 is inventory software for product brands that sell on several channels. Its Core product costs $349, $599 or $1,199 a month depending on the plan, as of November 2026, excluding tax. Its Omni product is priced by quote. The headline price is not the full bill: extra users, extra connections, more order volume, forecasting, the developer API and premium support are all priced separately or limited by plan.
You want the real yearly cost of Cin7 once the add-ons, extra seats and setup are counted, not just the number on the pricing page.

What are Cin7's plans?
Cin7 sells two products. Cin7 Core is the main one, with three published plans. Cin7 Omni is a more customizable product that Cin7 prices by quote, and its pricing FAQ calls it a custom solution for larger enterprises with advanced needs. Core prices are in US dollars, exclude taxes, and are for new customers, as of November 2026.
| Plan | Monthly | Per year | Users | Store and app connections | Sales orders a year |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $349 | $4,188 | 5 | 2 | 6,000 |
| Pro | $599 | $7,188 | 10 | 4 | 24,000 |
| Advanced | $1,199 | $14,388 | 15 | 6 | 120,000 |
Every plan lists unlimited inventory locations. Pro adds material requirements planning, which means suggesting what to order or make based on demand and stock. Advanced adds advanced warehouse management. Cin7 also says its prices shown are for new customers, so ask whether your price is locked for renewals.
What costs extra?
Cin7's pricing page marks several items as add-ons on Standard, and says more users, more connections and more order volume can be bought on top of each plan. Its FAQ says optional add-ons such as advanced forecasting cost extra and that there are no unexpected charges beyond the listed features. Read that carefully: it means the list is the list, and anything not on it is an add-on. Items worth checking on your quote:
- ForesightAI: Cin7's demand forecasting, which predicts what to reorder. Cin7 says it can also generate purchase orders automatically.
- B2B portal: A web portal where wholesale customers place their own orders.
- Point of sale: A till for in-person selling, with extra registers also priced separately.
- The API: Listed as an add-on on Standard. The API is how a developer builds a custom link to Cin7.
- Advanced automations: Reminders, report scheduling and workflows.
- Document recognition: Reading data off documents instead of typing it. Cin7's page for it describes an add-on for Cin7 Core that turns purchase orders, such as the ones your wholesale customers send, into sales orders, and says it can process a batch of them at once.
- Premium support and professional services: Both listed as add-ons.
- Extra users, connections and orders: Each plan has a cap.
Cin7's menu also groups Cin7 Pay, Cin7 Capital and 3PL Connect with the add-ons. 3PL means an outside company that stores and ships your stock. Cin7 does not publish the price of these add-ons. Ask for each one in writing.
What about onboarding costs?
Cin7's onboarding page offers three routes: group onboarding, one-to-one onboarding and partner-led onboarding. It says the group package gets you running in four weeks. The pricing page lists onboarding under each plan, but it does not show a separate fee. Ask your Cin7 rep two questions: what the onboarding route for your plan costs, and what happens if you need more help after the included sessions run out. A partner-led setup is the route for complex businesses, and an outside partner will charge its own rate.
How much will it cost at different sizes?
These are made-up businesses to show how the limits bite. Add-on prices are not published, so the examples show the published base only.
- Small brand: 3 staff, a web store and Amazon, 3,000 orders a year. Standard fits: $4,188 a year. If they also add a shipping tool and an accounting link, they hit the 2-connection cap and need to ask about extra connections.
- Growing brand: 8 staff, a web store, Amazon, a wholesale portal and a 3PL (outside warehouse), 15,000 orders a year. Pro fits on users and orders: $7,188 a year. The B2B portal and forecasting would be add-ons on top.
- Busy operation: 14 staff, two warehouses, 90,000 orders a year. Advanced: $14,388 a year before add-ons.
The trap is the order cap. If your busiest year pushes past 6,000 orders on Standard, you pay for more volume or move up a plan, and the jump from $349 to $599 is a 72% rise.
How do I check a Cin7 quote?
Ask for the quote with each line on its own row, then check these points:
- Plan and billing: Which plan, and is it billed monthly or yearly? The pricing page lists monthly figures.
- Caps: Users, connections and yearly sales orders included, next to your real numbers.
- Add-ons: Each one, priced, with the reason you need it.
- Onboarding: The route (group, one-to-one or partner-led), what it costs and how many hours it covers.
- Support level: Cin7 says every plan includes its support team and Help Centers with 24/7 chat; premium support is an add-on.
- Renewal: What the price does after the first term.
Then do the sum for twelve months, and again for twenty-four. A tool that looks close in month one can be far apart by month twenty-four once caps and renewals bite.
When is a higher plan worth it?
Move up when a cap is costing you real time, not just when it is close. Pro makes sense if you have more than five people who need logins or you sell on more than two channels. Advanced makes sense when you run several warehouse locations and need its advanced warehouse app, which Cin7 describes as adding kitting picks, time tracking, delivery scheduling and first-in, first-out picking. Omni is for unusual setups that Core cannot model. If you cannot say which Core limit you hit, stay where you are. Cin7 also lists Xero and QuickBooks Online (two common accounting packages) as the accounting links on every plan.
What do brands do when the bill jumps?
- Trim first: Remove unused users and connections before the renewal.
- Compare: Look at similar tools. My Fishbowl alternatives guide (Fishbowl is a rival inventory software product) includes Cin7, Zoho Inventory and Katana side by side, and my Brightpearl alternatives guide covers a wider list.
- Replace one add-on with something smaller: A forecast or a portal can sometimes be done with a cheaper tool or a small custom build.
- Check the reviews: G2 and Capterra, two software review sites, show what real customers say about renewals and support. Read the recent ones.
If the cost is the whole problem, it is worth asking whether you need a full inventory platform at all. My inventory management system guide covers that choice.
How I'd approach this
Before you buy or renew, send Cin7 a short list: your users, your channels, your busiest-month orders, and the add-ons you think you need. Ask for a quote with every line itemized and a go-live date. Then add up the first-year total yourself.
If the total is more than you expected, do not panic. Ask which line is largest. Often it is one add-on you could live without for six months. If you are already stuck mid-setup, read my guide to rescuing a Cin7 rollout before you pay for more help.
