How to get a Higgsfield invoice or receipt for your expenses

By Ranjit Bhinge, founder of Blur Studio · Updated · 10 min read

Short answer: Higgsfield, an AI image and video platform, lets you download invoices in your account: open your avatar menu, then Manage Account, then Subscription, then All invoices, and download the PDF. The catch is that an issued invoice cannot be edited or reissued, and your company name, address and Tax ID only apply to invoices created after you save them. So set those details before your first payment.

Your accountant asks for the receipt for an AI subscription, and the invoice shows your personal name and no tax number. You need to know where to look and what you can still fix.

I'm Ranjit, and I run Blur Studio: 15+ years building software, 120 apps taken live, and clients who have gone on to raise $10M+. I build AI systems and processes that help businesses do a lot more with a lot less time. I also work differently from most of what else is out there, more on that further down this page. Say hello.

This page is for owners, bookkeepers and agency managers who pay for Higgsfield (an online platform for making AI images and video) and need paperwork that holds up as an expense record. It covers the click path, the one mistake that cannot be undone, what each type of charge produces, a simple bookkeeping routine and a routine for teams.

Everything about Higgsfield's billing below comes from its help center pages as of 4 November 2026. Billing screens change, so if what you see differs, trust your screen and the help center. This is information, not tax or accounting advice.

The click path to your invoices

Higgsfield's help center article on downloading an invoice or receipt gives this path:

  1. Click your avatar (your profile picture or initial) to open the account menu.
  2. Choose Manage Account.
  3. Open the Subscription tab.
  4. Look at Upcoming Invoice, then choose All invoices.
  5. Pick the payment you need and choose Download.

Invoices are created automatically for each payment. You do not need to request them. If one is missing from the list, the same article says to contact Higgsfield through its contact page and give the payment date and amount. The contact page lists three channels: the help center, Discord and email. It gives support@higgsfield.ai for billing, refunds and account questions and does not state a response time.

Set your company details before the first payment

This is the part that catches people. Two facts from the help center:

  • Issued invoices cannot be reissued or edited.
  • Billing information (company name, address, VAT or Tax ID) applies only to future invoices.

Put together, that means an invoice created in your personal name stays in your personal name. If you subscribe first and add your company details later, the first invoice, and any others made before you saved the details, will not carry them. No help page offers a fix for old invoices, so do not promise anyone that support can rewrite one. Ask support if you are stuck, but plan as if the answer is no.

The VAT and Tax ID help article says you can add a Tax ID or VAT ID on all paid plans, and the Team and business article says the same for Team, Scale and Enterprise. The route is Billing information, then Manage, which opens the Stripe billing portal. Stripe is the payment company Higgsfield uses for card billing. You enter the company name, billing address and tax number there.

A short pre-payment checklist:

  • Create the account with an email address the company controls. The help center does not say whether the account email can be changed later, so do not count on it.
  • Before you buy, open Billing information and enter the legal company name exactly as it appears on your registration, the billing address and the tax number.
  • Buy the plan only after that is saved.
  • Download the first invoice at once and check the name, address and tax number against your records.

The pricing page says its prices exclude VAT and local taxes, which are calculated at checkout. The invoice help article says local tax is added as its own line item. So the amount on your card statement can be higher than the plan price you saw. If a valid VAT ID changes how tax is charged, for example through a reverse charge arrangement, that depends on your location and the rules where you are. Ask your bookkeeper. Higgsfield's help article says this depends on location.

What each charge produces

The help center says an invoice is generated for every payment, including subscriptions, renewals, credit packs and auto-refill top-ups. A credit is the unit Higgsfield charges for each image or video you generate. Here is what that means for your records:

ChargeWhat it isWhat to expect
SubscriptionYour first payment for a planAn invoice for that payment
RenewalThe same plan billed again each cycleA new invoice every cycle
Credit packExtra credits bought one timeIts own invoice
Auto-refillAn automatic top-up when credits run lowIts own invoice, each time it triggers

The practical point is that one month can produce several invoices. A heavy month on a plan with auto-refill turned on can show the renewal plus two or three refill invoices. When you reconcile, match by invoice number and date against the card statement. Do not try to match by subscription alone, or one refill will look like a duplicate charge.

Credit pack prices are not published on the pricing page or in the help center, so the cost of a pack is unknown until checkout. The checkout screen shows the amount before you confirm.

On receipts: the help center article documents invoices. It does not describe an emailed receipt. If you want a card-payment receipt too, Stripe's own documentation says Stripe creates receipts for successful payments and refunds, that receipts can be saved as PDF, and that a receipt link expires after 30 days while a fresh link is sent to the transaction email. Whether your Higgsfield payments trigger a Stripe receipt email is not something Higgsfield's pages state, so check your inbox rather than assume. For most bookkeeping the downloaded invoice is the better document, because Stripe describes invoices as more itemised than receipts.

What Higgsfield itself gives you for expense paperwork

Here is what the platform covers, based on its help center and pricing page:

  • Self-serve invoice downloads for every payment, with no request form.
  • A Tax ID or VAT ID field on all paid plans, handled in the Stripe billing portal.
  • A shared workspace for business plans. Team (up to 9 seats) and Scale (up to 15 seats) pool credits in one workspace. As of November 2026 the pricing page shows Team from $65 per seat per month billed annually; check the pricing page for current figures.
  • Admin controls on bigger plans. Scale admins can pause a member's spending, and Enterprise has per-user caps. Per-user caps are Enterprise only.
  • A usage view. The help center points to Manage Account, then Usage, for checking credit activity, and says admins can view usage by member. That helps when you need to explain a bill, though it is not a per-client report.

What it does not publish, as far as I can see: a way to fix an old invoice, the legal name of the company that invoices you, or the country it invoices from. Read those off your first invoice, because your bookkeeper will need them. Also note that Higgsfield invoices a card subscription. If your finance process needs a purchase order or invoice-on-terms billing, that is a conversation for Enterprise sales, not something the self-serve plans advertise.

If your whole use case is paperwork-friendly team billing, Higgsfield's business plans are worth a look, but the invoice features are basic. They do the job of a normal card subscription and no more.

If the invoice is wrong or missing

Work through these steps in order:

  1. Check the list again. Look under All invoices for the date of the charge. A refill can sit between two renewals and be easy to miss.
  2. Check the account. If you have more than one Higgsfield login, the invoice sits with the account that paid. Sign in with the one that matches the card.
  3. Check the details on the invoice. If the company name or tax number is missing, save them now. They will appear on the next invoice, not this one.
  4. Contact support through the contact page, with the payment date, the amount and the last four digits of the card. Ask for what you actually need: a missing invoice, or a correction of the details.
  5. Keep the card statement line. If the invoice never turns up, the statement line plus the support thread is your fallback record.

Independent reviews on Trustpilot (about 5,300 reviews, a 4.0 score on 4 November 2026, so recheck before relying on it) show some complaints about charges after cancelling, refund refusals and credits expiring. I would take those as a reason to keep your own paper trail, not as a prediction about your account.

Bookkeeping notes: what an expense record should show

For US businesses, the IRS (the US tax authority) publishes a page called "What kind of records should I keep". It says that invoices, credit card receipts and statements are acceptable records, and that a document should show the payee, the amount, proof of payment, the date and a description of what was bought. The same page gives no retention period for expense records. How long you must keep records depends on your country and your tax authority, so look that up where you are.

A Higgsfield invoice normally covers most of those items. What it cannot give you is the business reason. So I would add a one-line note to each file:

  • File name: 2026-11-04_Higgsfield_Invoice-number_Plus-plan.pdf (date, vendor, invoice number, what it was).
  • Paired record: the card statement line showing the payment went through.
  • Business purpose: for example "AI image and video for client X social campaign".
  • Owner: who bought it.

Two cautions. First, do not edit the PDF to add notes. Keep the original untouched and put your notes in the bookkeeping system or a separate sheet. Second, whether you can deduct the cost, reclaim VAT or treat it as a cost of goods is a tax question. The answer depends on your country, so your accountant should answer it.

A billing routine for teams

Credits on Team and Scale plans come from one pool in a shared workspace, so one person pays and everyone spends. Here is a routine that keeps the paperwork clean:

  1. Name one billing owner. That person holds the account, saves the company details and downloads invoices. A second person is the backup.
  2. Use a shared finance mailbox such as accounts@yourcompany.com as the account email where you can, instead of one person's address, so billing mail survives staff changes. Because the help pages do not say whether the email can be changed later, set this when you create the account.
  3. Do not share one login. Higgsfield's Terms of Use prohibit sharing credentials, and the team article does not cover sharing a login. Add people as seats in the workspace instead. See sharing an AI account across a team.
  4. Reconcile monthly. On a fixed day, download every invoice for the month and match each to a card statement line.
  5. Review the usage page and the seat count. The help center says seats cannot be lowered mid-cycle without contacting support, so a surplus seat keeps costing until the next renewal.
  6. Record who may turn on auto-refill. It creates extra invoices and extra spend. Decide the monthly ceiling in advance. See how to spend Higgsfield credits wisely.

Passing the cost to a client

An agency often needs to bill AI costs to a client. The Higgsfield invoice shows what you paid for the platform, but credits are used from a shared balance, so the invoice never shows which client used what. If you want to pass costs through, you need your own usage log: the date, the job, the number of credits it used and the client. The guide to tracking AI spend by client shows a simple way. Do not hand a client your supplier invoice as proof of their share unless your contract says you will.

Refunds, cancellations and renewals that affect your books

The refund rules matter for timing. As Higgsfield's help center states them:

  • A refund applies only to the initial purchase, within 7 days, with no credits used. A fee of up to 6% can apply.
  • Renewals are not refundable.
  • Cancelling stops future charges but does not refund the current one.
  • Credit packs and auto-refill are refundable within 7 days if unused.
  • EU, EEA and UK customers have a 14-day withdrawal right, handled by contacting support.

If a refund happens, keep the refund confirmation next to the original invoice and record it as a separate line in your books. No page says whether Higgsfield issues a formal credit note, so ask support if your accountant needs one. For more on these rules, read how to protect yourself on refunds, credits and billing.

Who should look at other options

Higgsfield is a weak fit if your finance rules require a purchase order, an annual invoiced contract, or a reseller. The self-serve plans bill by card. Enterprise is where a "contact sales" conversation happens, and Higgsfield does not publish what it offers on invoicing there. Some competitors also hide team pricing behind "contact us", so compare in writing before you decide. See Higgsfield pricing explained for plan costs and free versus paid if you are still deciding whether to pay at all.

How I'd approach this

I would treat the invoice as part of setup, not an afterthought. Before the first payment: company details saved, finance mailbox as the account email, a named billing owner. After the first payment: download the invoice and check it. Each month: one reconciliation, one usage review, one decision about auto-refill.

If you run an agency and want the usage log, approval step and asset library to sit around your AI tools in one place, Blur Studio builds that. See the business page. If you only need the paperwork right, the routine above is enough.

Questions people ask

Where is my Higgsfield invoice?

Open your avatar menu, then Manage Account, then Subscription, then All invoices, and choose Download beside the payment you need. If a payment is not listed, contact Higgsfield through its contact page with the payment date and amount.

Can I change the company name on an old invoice?

According to Higgsfield's help center, issued invoices cannot be reissued or edited, and billing details apply only to future invoices. Save your details before you pay. If an old invoice is wrong, you can ask support, but no fix is published.

Can I add my VAT or Tax ID after I have already paid?

Yes, you can add it on all paid plans through Billing information, then Manage, which opens the Stripe billing portal. It will appear on invoices created after you save it, not on earlier ones. How tax is treated once you have a valid ID depends on your location, so ask your bookkeeper.

Does auto-refill create an invoice?

Yes. The help center lists auto-refill top-ups among the payments that generate invoices, along with subscriptions, renewals and credit packs. A month with several refills will have several invoices, so reconcile by invoice number.

Does Higgsfield email a receipt for each payment?

Higgsfield's help center documents invoices that you download in your account and does not describe an emailed receipt. If your payments go through Stripe, its documentation says it creates receipts for successful payments, but check your inbox to see what actually arrives.

Why is my invoice higher than the plan price?

The pricing page says prices exclude VAT and local taxes, which are calculated at checkout, and the invoice help article says local tax shows as its own line. Auto-refill or a credit pack bought in the same month will also add separate charges.

Can my accountant download the invoices?

The help center describes invoices as downloaded from the account, so someone with access to the account must do it, or the billing owner can send the PDFs. The Terms of Use prohibit sharing credentials, so do not hand over a password. Download the PDFs yourself and send them, or ask Higgsfield support what access it allows.

Can I get a refund and a credit note?

Refunds follow the help center rules: initial purchase only, within 7 days, no credits used, with a fee of up to 6%. Renewals are not refundable. No page covers credit notes, so ask support if your accountant requires one. See the refunds guide.
