CompanyCam integrations: what connects, how each sync really works, and what the API can do

By Ranjit Bhinge, founder of Blur Studio · Updated · 8 min read

Short answer: CompanyCam connects directly to field service and contractor tools including Jobber, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, AccuLynx, JobNimbus, JobTread and Procore, to QuickBooks Online, and to Microsoft SharePoint, with thousands more through Zapier. Most links are one way: photos and files flow from CompanyCam into the job record, and job details flow back to create projects. It also has a documented API with OAuth 2.0, webhooks and published rate limits, available on paid plans. Each sync has quirks worth knowing before you rely on it, covered below.

You want CompanyCam photos to land on the right job in the software you already run, without anyone dragging files between apps.

I'm Ranjit, and I run Blur Studio: 15+ years building software, 120 apps taken live, and clients who have gone on to raise $10M+. I build AI systems and processes that help businesses do a lot more with a lot less time. I also work differently from most of what else is out there, more on that further down this page. Say hello.

CompanyCam is a photo and documentation app, and its value goes up sharply when the photos land on the right job in the tools you already use. When they do not, someone in the office ends up downloading photos from one app and uploading them to another, which is exactly the job the integration was supposed to remove.

This page lists what CompanyCam connects to, how each of the main links actually behaves, where each one stops, how reports are built, and what the API allows. Everything comes from CompanyCam's own site, help center and developer docs as of 27 October 2026. Integrations change often, so check the current help article before you build a process around one.

What does CompanyCam integrate with?

CompanyCam's integrations page and help center name these, among others:

TypeExamples named by CompanyCam
Field service and CRMJobber, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, JobNimbus, AccuLynx, JobTread, HighLevel, LeadPerfection, Leap, Aspire
Construction and project toolsProcore, Smartsheet
Roofing, estimating and proposalsRoofr, SRS Roof Hub, EagleView, Ingage
AccountingQuickBooks Online
StorageMicrosoft SharePoint
Everything elseZapier ("thousands more integrations"), and a Chrome extension that adds CompanyCam photos to almost any website

Two practical notes. First, Housecall Pro does not appear on CompanyCam's main integrations page at the time of writing, but its help center has a full article on the Housecall Pro link, so it does exist. Second, neither the integrations page nor the pricing page says which plan includes each integration, and some help articles, such as SharePoint, say "select plans." Ask before you buy. My CompanyCam alternatives page lists current plan prices: Core $63, Crew $119 and Scale $249 a month billed yearly.

How does the CompanyCam and Jobber integration work?

Jobber records create projects in CompanyCam, and photos, videos and files added in CompanyCam flow back to the most recently updated request, quote or job in Jobber, usually within 5 minutes. Jobber lists the integration as available on select Jobber plans, so check yours. They land in the Internal Notes section of that record. Client contact details, the address and assigned users come across from Jobber when the record is created.

You choose one of two sync methods:

  • Legacy: one CompanyCam project per Jobber property. Every request, quote and job at that address feeds the same project. Simple, but a busy property ends up with years of photos in one place.
  • Lifecycle: one project per request, quote or job, optionally grouped by property with Project Groups. Cleaner for repeat customers.

Limits to know:

  • No history by default. Connecting does not import existing records. CompanyCam support can run a one-time historical sync of up to 1,000 of your most recent active jobs (Legacy) or requests, quotes and jobs (Lifecycle).
  • Pages and checklists do not sync. Export them as PDFs and add them to Files first.
  • Syncing stops when the job is invoiced and closed, in either order. Reopening the job starts it again.
  • Deletions do not carry over in either direction, and a client address change only updates the project if it is changed on the active record.
  • Setup is web only, though uploads from the mobile app sync normally once it is connected.

If you run Jobber and want to go further than photos, my Jobber API guide covers what you can build on that side.

How does the CompanyCam and Housecall Pro integration work?

Each Housecall Pro address, not each customer, becomes one CompanyCam project, created the first time you add an estimate or job for that address. Later estimates and jobs at the same address link to the same project.

  • Photos, videos and files appear under Attachments on the most recently created estimate or job for that address, within about 5 minutes.
  • To send uploads to a different estimate or job, for example a reopened one, press On My Way on it in Housecall Pro.
  • Documents and checklists do not sync. Only photos, videos and files do.
  • Photos and files must be under 500 MB each, and videos under 100 MB.
  • A project you create by hand in CompanyCam will not link to an existing Housecall Pro job. Pressing On My Way creates a new linked project instead.

The "most recent job" rule is the one that catches people out. If a crew is finishing yesterday's job at an address that already has a new estimate, photos land on the estimate unless someone presses On My Way first. Housecall Pro integrations explains how the same sync works from the Housecall Pro side.

How does CompanyCam work with Procore?

When you create a project in Procore, CompanyCam creates a matching project with a Procore label. Photos and files you add in CompanyCam appear in the Procore project's Documents tab. On first connection, CompanyCam brings in your active Procore projects. Setup is web only, and you need admin rights in both tools.

How does CompanyCam work with SharePoint?

CompanyCam creates a root folder in SharePoint where you choose, and every new CompanyCam project gets its own subfolder with that project's photos, videos and files. It is a one-way copy from CompanyCam to SharePoint.

  • Only projects created after you connect are synced. There is no way to back-fill older projects.
  • It is on select plans and web only, with no extra fee beyond your CompanyCam and SharePoint subscriptions.
  • Admins and Managers can connect it, and CompanyCam recommends using a SharePoint admin account so it can reach every folder it needs.

Treat it as an automatic backup and a place for the office to find files, not a two-way shared drive.

How does CompanyCam work with QuickBooks Online?

  • QuickBooks to CompanyCam: a new customer or sub-customer in QuickBooks Online creates a matching CompanyCam project with the name, shipping address, email and phone. Estimates and invoices appear in that project's Documents section, labelled so you can see which projects have them.
  • CompanyCam to QuickBooks: an Admin or Manager can send photos to the QuickBooks customer, estimate or invoice, but only by hand. A link to the CompanyCam project is added to the customer's notes.
  • Invoices made in CompanyCam only sync to QuickBooks once they are marked Paid, and invoice syncing needs an active Stripe account with invoices turned on.

So the accounting link is useful for setting up projects and seeing paperwork beside photos, but it will not attach every job photo to every invoice on its own. For Jobber users, the Jobber QuickBooks integration covers setup and common errors.

How do CompanyCam reports work?

CompanyCam builds reports two ways.

Photo reports

Reports are now built as Documents: open a project's Documents tab, add a new Document and choose the Report layout. CompanyCam's own advice is to tag photos by area or stage as you take them, so you can group them in the report, then add a short line of text between sections and a cover page. The finished report can be exported as a PDF or sent as a link the customer opens in any browser.

Documents and templates

In a project's Documents tab you can create a report, a daily log or a summary on the web (the app adds a walkthrough option), start from a template, or build from selected photos, including photos from several projects. Every user role can create documents.

  • AI documents use credits. Daily logs and summaries are written by AI and use your AI credits. CompanyCam's pricing page lists 10 credits on Core, 100 on Crew and unlimited on Scale.
  • Templates are plan-gated. Templates and AI layouts are on select plans; creating documents from scratch is on every plan. Scale lists unlimited templates and reports.
  • Three AI report types are listed on CompanyCam's reports page: Progress Recap, Summary and Daily Log, with custom cover pages and headers and reusable templates you can share with the team.

If an insurer, adjuster or general contractor expects a specific layout, build a sample report during your trial and send it to them before you commit to a process.

Does CompanyCam have an API?

Yes. CompanyCam's developer documentation covers projects, photos, videos, users, tags, groups, checklists, templates, project documents, comments, labels and webhooks. The key facts:

  • Plan: API access needs a paid plan (the help article on tokens says "select paid plans", so confirm yours). Credentials can only be created by Admins and Managers, on the web.
  • Credentials: a Personal Access Token for scripts and testing, tied to a person, or an Application Key tied to a specific integration, each with a permission level from read only to full access. Both expire after 30 days by default, with 7, 60 and 90 days or no expiry as options. Public integrations use OAuth 2.0.
  • Rate limits: per access token, 240 GET calls a minute, and 100 calls a minute shared across all POST, PUT, PATCH and DELETE requests. CompanyCam asks developers to build in retries for requests that hit the limit.
  • Webhooks: your system can be notified when, for example, a photo is tagged, instead of checking constantly.

CompanyCam also has an older Legacy API. Its support ends on September 1, 2027, after which it stops working, and CompanyCam does not recommend it for new work. If something you already rely on was built on it, plan the move now.

Use Zapier, or the API. With either, keep the link simple at first: one trigger, such as a job marked complete, and one result, such as a photo report sent to the customer.

A small custom layer is the better choice when you want photos, job data and invoices in one place, or when the rule has a condition Zapier cannot express. Examples I see a lot:

  • A customer-facing report of every finished job's before and after photos, sent automatically when the job closes.
  • An alert to the office when a job is marked complete with no "after" photos tagged.
  • Photos pushed onto the right invoice in your accounting tool, not just the customer record.
  • A weekly summary for the owner of jobs photographed, jobs missing photos, and open punch-list items.

How I'd approach this

Start with the built-in link if CompanyCam has one for your job software, and live with it for a few weeks. For a lot of crews, the Jobber or Housecall Pro sync is all they need, and I will tell you so. Write down where it falls short in practice: photos on the wrong job, nothing on the invoice, no record of missing photos.

If those gaps cost real office time, I build the missing piece on CompanyCam's API, and your job software's API where needed, so photos, jobs and invoices line up without anyone moving files. I build it to respect CompanyCam's rate limits and token expiry, it runs in accounts you own, and you keep both apps exactly as your crews use them today. If the real problem is that you are paying for two apps that should be one, my CompanyCam alternatives page is the better starting point.

Questions people ask

What does CompanyCam integrate with?

Field service and CRM tools including Jobber, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, JobNimbus, AccuLynx and JobTread, plus Procore, QuickBooks Online, Microsoft SharePoint and roofing tools such as Roofr and EagleView. Zapier covers thousands more, and a Chrome extension adds photos to most websites.

How does CompanyCam sync with Jobber?

Jobber records create CompanyCam projects, and photos, videos and files flow back to the most recently updated request, quote or job in Jobber's Internal Notes, usually within 5 minutes. Syncing stops once the job is invoiced and closed, and pages and checklists do not sync.

Does CompanyCam have an API?

Yes, on paid plans. It supports personal access tokens, application keys and OAuth 2.0, plus webhooks. Rate limits are 240 GET calls a minute and 100 a minute shared across POST, PUT, PATCH and DELETE, per access token. The older Legacy API stops working on September 1, 2027.

Does CompanyCam integrate with QuickBooks Online?

Yes. New QuickBooks customers create CompanyCam projects, and estimates and invoices show in the project's Documents. Photos go back to QuickBooks only when an Admin or Manager sends them, and CompanyCam invoices sync only once paid, which needs Stripe.

Does CompanyCam integrate with SharePoint?

Yes, on select plans. Each new project gets a SharePoint subfolder with its photos, videos and files. It is one way, from CompanyCam to SharePoint, and only projects created after you connect are synced.

Does CompanyCam integrate with Procore?

Yes. New Procore projects create matching CompanyCam projects, and photos and files appear in the Procore project's Documents tab. Your active Procore projects come across on first connection. You need admin rights in both tools.

How do I make a report in CompanyCam?

Open the project's Documents tab, add a new Document and choose the Report layout, starting from scratch or a template. Tagging photos as you take them makes them easier to group. Export it as a PDF or share a link. AI daily logs and summaries use AI credits.
