8 real Lovable alternatives, compared on price and what they're actually for

By Ranjit Bhinge, founder of Blur Studio · Updated · 5 min read

Short answer: The main reasons people look for a Lovable alternative are running out of credits faster than expected, wanting a tool with built-in mobile output, or needing more backend flexibility than Lovable's chat-first approach gives you. As of October 2026, the closest direct alternatives are Bolt.new (from $25 a month for 10 million tokens) and Base44 (from $16 a month on annual billing for 100 message credits), while Replit and Emergent are better fits if you need real backend logic or a mobile app, and Bubble, Softr or Wegic make more sense if what you actually need is more hands-on control, an internal business tool, or just a marketing website rather than a full app.

You've hit a wall with Lovable, whether that's credits running out faster than expected or a feature it can't build, and want real alternatives rather than a generic list.

I'm Ranjit, and I run Blur Studio: 15+ years building software, 120 apps taken live, and clients who have gone on to raise $10M+. I build AI systems and processes that help businesses do a lot more with a lot less time. I also work differently from most of what else is out there, more on that further down this page. Say hello.

Why do people look for a Lovable alternative?

Lovable is an AI software engineer you chat with to build and deploy a web app, and it's one of the most widely used tools in this category for good reason: its output tends to look clean without heavy prompting. The reasons people start comparing alternatives tend to repeat.

  • Credits run out faster than expected: Lovable's Pro plan starts at $25 a month for 100 credits, and real revision cycles, fixing a bug, adding a field, tweaking a flow, burn through that allowance quickly once you're past the first draft.
  • No native mobile output: Lovable builds web apps. If your idea genuinely needs a native iOS or Android app, you need a different tool entirely.
  • Chat-first can hit a wall on complex logic: Some apps have a workflow step a prompt-based tool keeps getting wrong. A more flexible platform, or more direct control over the logic, fixes that.

None of this makes Lovable a bad product. It just means the fit depends on what you're actually building.

8 real Lovable alternatives

Bolt.new

Bolt.new is an AI website and app builder you chat with in the browser, the closest direct peer to Lovable in how it works. Its Free plan gives 1 million tokens a month with a 300,000 daily cap. Pro is $25 a month for 10 million tokens, removes Bolt's branding, and adds a custom domain with token rollover.

  • Best for: Someone who wants the same chat-first workflow as Lovable but values token rollover over Lovable's credit model.

Replit

Replit is a broader AI platform for building, launching and growing software, not just a quick prototype tool. Its Free plan allows up to 30 hours of chat-based building and 60 projects. Core is $20 a month ($18 annually) with $20 of model credit, and Pro is $100 a month ($90 annually) with $100 of credit and a 28-day database rollback. If Replit's code view puts you off, see Replit alternatives for non-coders.

  • Best for: An app that needs real custom backend logic a template-shaped tool struggles with.

v0

v0 is Vercel's AI tool for designing and building web interfaces, leaning harder into visual polish than Lovable does. Free allows 7 messages a day. Plus is $30 a user a month with $30 of included credit plus a small daily grant.

  • Best for: When the interface design itself matters more than deep custom backend work.

Base44

Base44, owned by Wix, is a no-code AI platform that uses what's often called vibe coding, describing an app in plain language, to build fully functional apps and websites with a frontend, backend, database and authentication included. Free gives 25 message credits and up to 5 apps. On annual billing, Starter is $16 a month for 100 message credits, scaling up through Builder ($40), Pro ($80) and Elite ($160).

  • Best for: A cheaper entry point than Lovable's Pro tier if your app's needs are modest.

Emergent

Emergent is an AI platform that builds production-ready web and mobile apps through chat, with AI agents handling design, code and deployment. Free gives 10 monthly credits, and Standard is $20 a month ($17 annually) for 100 monthly credits plus private hosting and GitHub integration. Try Emergent if mobile output matters as much as the web version. Emergent vs Bolt vs v0 vs Lovable vs Replit compares five of these side by side.

  • Best for: Needing both a web and mobile version of the same app from one tool.

Bubble

Bubble is a no-code platform for building web, iOS and Android apps from a visual editor, with AI assistance added on top. Free includes one app editor and 50,000 monthly workload units, and Starter is $59 a month (annual billing) with a custom domain and 175,000 workload units.

  • Best for: Wanting to click and adjust the logic directly instead of relying entirely on prompts.

Softr

Softr is an AI app builder aimed at business operations: internal tools and customer portals backed by a real database, with workflow automation and integrations included on every plan. On annual billing, Free is $0, Basic is $19, Pro is $99 and Business is $329 a month.

  • Best for: An internal tool or customer portal rather than a public-facing product.

Wegic

Wegic is an AI website builder, not an app builder, built specifically for marketing sites, landing pages and similar, generated through chat. It's only a real alternative to Lovable if what you actually need is a website rather than software with logins and a database. For a plain lead page, a form-first builder versus a prompt-built page is worth comparing. I couldn't confirm Wegic's exact current paid-tier pricing from its own site at the time of writing, so confirm that directly on Wegic's pricing page.

  • Best for: A marketing website, not an app with a database behind it.

How do they compare on price?

ToolFree tierEntry paid tier
Lovable5 daily build credits, 30/month cap$25/mo for 100 credits
Bolt.new1M tokens/mo$25/mo for 10M tokens
Replit30 hrs, 60 projects$20/mo ($18 annual)
v07 messages/day$30/user/mo
Base4425 message credits, 5 apps$16/mo (annual)
Emergent10 monthly credits$20/mo ($17 annual)
Bubble50,000 workload units$59/mo (annual)
SoftrUnlimited apps, limited scale$19/mo (annual)

Base44 and Emergent currently offer the cheapest real entry points if budget is the main driver, while Replit's Core plan gives the most flexibility per dollar for anything with genuine custom logic.

Pick by what's actually wrong with Lovable for you

If credits are the problem, Base44 or Emergent's entry tiers cost less for similar output. If it's a mobile app you need, Emergent or Bubble. If it's a complex workflow Lovable keeps fumbling, Replit's flexibility or Bubble's direct control over logic will likely serve you better than another chat-first tool with the same underlying limits.

One pattern worth watching for before switching entirely: if Lovable's output is otherwise good and the only real complaint is the price at your current usage level, it's worth testing whether a cheaper tool actually produces a comparably clean result on your specific project, rather than assuming any switch saves money. Base44 and Emergent are genuinely cheaper at the entry tier, but a tool that needs more revision rounds to reach the same quality can end up costing about the same once you account for the extra prompting.

Need something completely custom?

Everything above is a path to get it running quick and cheap. But sometimes the honest answer is that none of those quite fit, and what you actually need is something custom that you own, built uniquely for your business from the ground up, with AI thoughtfully designed into the parts of it that your processes actually benefit from. An asset that grows in value, not a generic, one-size-fits-all boilerplate that's an expense with a lock-in. This is a complete bespoke build, and it's something I do very well. Questions people ask

What's the closest alternative to Lovable?

Bolt.new is the closest in how it works, chat-first, web-focused, similar usage-based pricing. Base44 is the closest on price for a smaller budget.

Is Bubble harder to learn than Lovable?

Generally yes at first, since Bubble's visual editor asks you to understand more of the underlying logic than a pure chat tool does. That same tradeoff gives you more direct control once you're past the learning curve.

Can I move my Lovable project to one of these alternatives?

Not directly. Each tool builds inside its own environment, so switching usually means rebuilding or exporting code where the tool allows it. Check export options before building heavily in any one tool.

Which alternative is cheapest for a simple app?

Base44's Starter plan at $16 a month (annual billing) and Emergent's Standard plan at $17 a month (annual) are currently the cheapest real paid entry points among the options here.

Does Wegic really compete with Lovable?

Not for building software. Wegic builds marketing websites, not apps with logins and a database, so it only makes sense if a website is genuinely all you need.

Roughly what does a custom build cost?

As a broad reference, fixes and finishes start at around $1,500, and new builds start higher, always a fixed price agreed in writing before I start, never an hourly rate. My AI app cost guide explains what actually drives a quote up or down.

Is my project too small for this?

No. Most of the owners I work with have no tech team at all, that is the whole point. If one of the tools above genuinely gets you where you need to go, I will tell you that on the first call, even though it means I do not get paid.
