What can replace ChannelAdvisor for a brand our size?

By Ranjit Bhinge, founder of Blur Studio · Updated · 5 min read

Short answer: ChannelAdvisor is now part of Rithum, a commerce platform that helps brands list products, manage stock and orders, and run ads across online marketplaces. If you are paying enterprise prices for features you do not use, the main alternatives are all inventory and order management tools: Sellercloud (from $1,349 a month), Brightpearl and Linnworks (both quote only), Cin7 Core (from $349 a month), Finale (from $499 a month) and Sumtracker (from $59 a month), all as of November 2026. Which one fits depends on how many orders you ship and whether you need listing tools or only stock sync.

You pay for ChannelAdvisor or Rithum and suspect your brand uses a fraction of it, so you want to see what a lighter setup would cost.

I'm Ranjit, and I run Blur Studio: 15+ years building software, 120 apps taken live, and clients who have gone on to raise $10M+. I build AI systems and processes that help businesses do a lot more with a lot less time. I also work differently from most of what else is out there, more on that further down this page. Say hello.

What is ChannelAdvisor now?

Rithum's own About page says CommerceHub and ChannelAdvisor joined forces in 2022 and rebranded as Rithum at the end of 2023. So "ChannelAdvisor" and "Rithum" now point at the same company. Rithum describes itself as a single company serving over 40,000 brands, suppliers and retailers. Its site lists marketplace listings, inventory management, order management, reporting, retail media advertising, paid search and shopping ads, and product feeds for brands, plus dropship and private marketplace tools for retailers.

That is a wide product. Rithum works by quote, so ask for one and ask what each module costs on its own.

Why do brands look elsewhere?

  • Quote-only pricing. It is hard to compare a custom quote with a published $349 plan.
  • Modules you do not use. A brand that only needs stock sync and orders may not need retail media or paid search tools.
  • Setup effort. Platforms at this size are projects. Plan for weeks, not days.
  • A size mismatch. A brand shipping a few hundred orders a month is not the target customer of a platform serving enterprise brands and retailers.

None of this means Rithum is poor. A large brand selling on Walmart, Target and Amazon at once may be exactly who it is built for. This page is for the brand that has grown out of spreadsheets but not into that size.

What are the best ChannelAdvisor alternatives?

Blur Studio (best value)

A ready-built, well-tested core with a different pricing model: no per-seat fees, and it covers almost all the features you'd actually need, usually working out to the best value for money. On top of that, Blur Studio builds owned customizations, meaning you can ask for it to be modified to your exact specifications, and you own those modifications outright. • Best for: Businesses that need software that works without barriers, no unnecessary fees and options to customize it to their needs.

Sellercloud

Sellercloud, now part of Descartes, is an ecommerce platform for marketplace sellers that brings inventory, orders, listings, purchasing, warehouse work, shipping and reporting into one system. Its pricing page lists Essentials from $1,349 a month and Growth from $1,998 a month, both with unlimited users, plugins and integrations, and API access. Growth adds an advanced warehouse module. Order volume decides your final quote.

  • Best for: Sellers on Amazon, Walmart and other marketplaces who want one full system with a published starting price.

Brightpearl

Brightpearl is a retail operations platform that pulls orders from web stores and marketplaces together, tracks stock, handles purchasing and passes numbers to accounting. Its pricing page says it builds a bespoke set-up for every customer, includes unlimited users, and that customers go live in 90 to 120 days on average. There is no list price. My Brightpearl alternatives guide covers it in more detail.

  • Best for: Retail and wholesale brands with real order volume that accept a longer setup.

Linnworks

Linnworks is order and inventory software for sellers on many channels. Its pricing page says plans are priced on order volume, not revenue, with no percentage fees, add-on modules for advanced functions, and a guided onboarding plan in every package. You request a quote from a specialist. See my Linnworks alternatives guide.

  • Best for: Sellers who ship many orders a day and care about routing and shipping rules.

Cin7 Core

Cin7 Core is inventory software for product brands that sell through several channels. Standard is $349 a month for 5 users and 2 ecommerce and app integrations, Pro is $599 for 10 users and 4 integrations, and Advanced is $1,199 for 15 users and 6 integrations (prices in USD, excluding tax, for new customers). Cin7 sells a separate, custom-priced product called Omni for larger needs. Read my Cin7 pricing guide for the extras.

  • Best for: Growing brands that want published prices and wholesale features.

Finale

Finale, part of Descartes, is inventory software for multichannel and multi-warehouse sellers, with Amazon FBA (Fulfilled by Amazon, where Amazon stores and ships for you) tools and 40 plus sales channel integrations. Essentials starts at $499 a month and Growth at $799. Enterprise is quoted. My Finale alternatives guide compares it.

  • Best for: Sellers with several warehouses or FBA who want a published entry price.

Sumtracker

Sumtracker is a stock sync tool for Shopify sellers. Its Manage plan covers multichannel inventory sync, bundles, barcode scanning and API access from $59 a month ($50 on annual billing) up to 2,500 sales orders a year. The Replenish plan adds purchase orders and forecasting from $119 a month. It does not list products on marketplaces for you.

  • Best for: A small or mid-size seller who mainly needs the count right on every channel.

What you might lose by leaving

Be clear on this before you switch. The light tools above handle stock and orders. They do not replace Rithum's retail media, paid search or product feed work, and they do not offer its dropship and retailer network. If you rely on those, you may keep Rithum for that part and move stock and orders elsewhere, or use separate tools for ads. List what you use each month, then match it.

Need something completely custom?

Everything above is a path to get it running quick and cheap. But sometimes none of these fit, and what you need is something custom that you own, built uniquely for your business from the ground up, with AI thoughtfully designed into the parts of it that your processes actually benefit from. An asset that grows in value, not a generic, one-size-fits-all boilerplate that's an expense with a lock-in. This is a complete bespoke build, and it's something I do very well. How I'd approach this

Start with a one-page list of what you actually use in Rithum: which channels, which modules, how many orders a month. Take that to three vendors and ask for the same quote shape, including setup fees. If you ship under about 6,000 orders a year and mostly need stock and orders, a published-price tool like Cin7 Core or Sumtracker will likely cost a small fraction of an enterprise contract. If you have unusual rules, such as split shipments or bundles across brands, ask whether a tailored build costs less over three years than the platform fees. Read recent reviews on independent sites before you sign with any of them, since vendor pages show their own best numbers.

Questions people ask

Is ChannelAdvisor the same as Rithum?

Yes, in effect. Rithum's About page says ChannelAdvisor and CommerceHub joined in 2022 and rebranded as Rithum at the end of 2023.

How much does ChannelAdvisor cost?

Rithum works by quote. Ask for a demo and a quote that shows module-level pricing and setup fees.

What is the cheapest alternative?

Sumtracker starts at $59 a month for up to 2,500 yearly orders, but it only covers stock sync and basic management. Cin7 Core starts at $349 a month with fuller inventory and order tools.

Sellercloud or ChannelAdvisor, which is better?

Sellercloud publishes starting prices ($1,349 and $1,998 a month) and includes unlimited users. Rithum covers more marketing and retailer tools. Match each to what you use, and see my multichannel inventory software guide for lighter options.

Can I keep my listings if I switch?

Listings live on each marketplace, but the mapping between your SKUs and those listings lives in the old tool. Ask any new vendor how it imports that mapping before you commit.

Is a custom build realistic for a mid-size brand?

Sometimes. It makes sense when your rules are unusual or per-seat fees are high. Fixes and finishes start around $1,500, with new builds higher, as a fixed price agreed in writing. My AI app cost guide explains what drives a quote.
